If you take proper care of your contacts, by cleaning them and replacing them regularly, they are fine to wear. Contacts will not hurt your eyes as long as you take good care of them. They are a medical prescription and your Optometrist will discuss the proper care techniques for the specific brand that you are prescribed. A big part ni keeping your eyes healthy while wearing contacts is to not over-wear them and give your eyes a break, such as taking them out after work and wearing glasses around the house. If you do wear contacts you also need to have a pair of back-up glasses to rest your eyes or if something would happen to a lens.

well first of all it depends how old you are because your eyes could still be growing and if you get contacts too soon your eyes will get damaged a lot and you will have to get stronger glasses or contacts if you would still want them well i asked my mom if i could get contacts and she said ok and she took me to the eye doctor and he said i could get them but i really shouldn't because i should wait a while until i get older and secondly glasses aren't that bad you might feel weird in them but the are better then contacts i also don't like my glasses that much but my mom found me this nice pair of glasses that match my eyes and i bet you could find a nice pair that you would feel comfortable in
i hope that helps

Contacts are good for your eyes as long as you keep them clean and try not to have them in for more than 10 to 11 hours a day. Don't sleep in them overnight either. If you wear them too much what happens is that your blood vessels in your eyes begin to grow into your sight line and can cause you to go blind eventually. Also, you can get a corneal ulcer in your eye as well from leaving them in overnight. I am not exactly sure what a corneal ulcer is but my mom had one and her eye got really red and sore and began to bulge out of the socket and they had to give her a shot right in her eyeball. But, as long as you follow the guidelines you will be fine. Contacts are awesome I wear them myself. I would suggest that you ask the doctor to give you disposable contacts they are alot lighter and easier to get used too. You will love them!! But see the eye doctor and make sure that you are a candidate first. By the way I got all of my information from personal experience.

Each and every person I know who wears contacts complains about how dry their eyes are and how expensive the drops they need are and how itchy their eyes get and not one single person I know including myself who wears glasses complains about any of that. The only problem with wearing glasses is when it rains or when it's really cold outside and you walk into a warm house and your glasses fog up.

Contacts are fine for you eyes, just go to your eye doctor befor ordering them so they can examine your eyes and make sure you are a good canidate to wear contacts. Some people can't wear them because if your eyes don't have enough moisture or if they are not the right shape contacts could be bad for your eyes. But if your doctor says you are ok, go for it!

Why not do both... usually when a person just uses contact... the doctor eventually tells you that the contacts are not letting enough oxygen through to your eyes. So you get contacts, just don't wear them all the time.

i would say glasses because contacts can get caught in your eyes because my mother once had a friend who got contacts and they got caught in her eyes nad the doctor had to do surgery on her eye and she still cant see to this day out of the one eye!and that happenend when my mom was a teen and now my mom is like 50 somethin!sio if i were u i would stick to the glasses!its up to u!u either keep the glasses and keep both of your eyes or get the contacts and just keep both of your eyes!
GOOD LUCK!

Contacts. They are sooooo much better and you don't have to worry about your glasses being broke during activities. If you take care of them they are fine for your eyes.

I've had contacts for over 10 years now and I love them. I use the monthly disposable ones. I love them vs. glasses because they don't get in the way when you hug someone, no glare when you drive at night, and you hardly forget where you put them.
