Call the police that's what we did. You may have to call a couple times depending on what's going on but they will get caught one of the times. Good luck.

You should first document your complaints to your leasing office. I am living the same nightmare in my apartment. By documenting, I mean you should address your concerns with them in dated letters. Once you have started that file, I would contact the non-emergency number for your local police department. Once you are on file with them, get a report from them as to how many times they had to come there and then give that to your leasing office. They should be forced to do something at that point. If not, escalate to the property's regional or corporate manager. Ask your leasing office property manager for the name of HIS/HER supervisor and that should get some heads turning.

Good Luck! So far, its helped alot in my situation!!!

It depends on the complaint you wish to file - you aren't specific in your explanation. If the neighbors are being noisy after 10 p.m., call the police and tell them you can't sleep due to the noise. If there is loud fighting in the unit next to yours, kindly knock on the door and ask if they could keep the noise down, and make sure everyone is okay. If your neighbors are giving you dirty looks in the hallway, the police won't do anything about that.

You have to start documenting your complaints in writing, also look in your lease and look for a clause that states something to the effect of quite enjoyment and not to disturb others and mention it in your letter to the landlord.

If landlord refuses to notify tenant to keep quite your only real option is to give notice you are leaving and this is good reason to break your lease you could also warn you will sue for relocation costs due to the fact you were lead to believe this apartment block had a quite enjoyment clause that would be enforced by owner.

It depends on what the complaint is. If it's a dog barking you can fill out a barkig dog complaint with Animal Control. If it's just noise you could contact the city attoryney or a regular attorney for assistance. If it's more serious talk to the police, they can advice you of your options.

Call the police and if that doesn't work call your county prosecutors office and ask them how to file a complaint , they handle matters while bringing the parties together , speaking with them and issuing and order against the perpetrator if the problem isn't solved reasonably.

Depending on the circumstances of the complaint, you can contact local authorities or your local housing/apartment association. Also, when filing complaints with your office, be sure to put them in writing and request a copy for your records.

Having had to deal with neighbors tons of times, the best way to deal with it is to befriend them and explain your side of it in a nice way. Most reasonable people will listen and try to help you out. If they're not reasonable, then moving is a strong option. You should be able to get out of your lease if your Super isn't doing anything about the problem.

I recommend calling the police whenever the problem arises, and keep your own records, that way there will be records that can be presented to the complex management.
