Yes, because think about the complexity of everything! There is no way everything just fell down from the sky as ordered as it is without first being created. Everything is so awesome. Plus, I think I saw an angel when I was a kid. It might have been when my mom miscarried. That would explain it. Now, I know the Biblical representation of an angel is more like a warrior, but that doesn't mean they can't put on a softer appearance when they want to a appear to a child. Even if I am wrong, there are so many times I've gotten home when I was half awake and barely conscious to drive. Several times, things that I could only describe to be miracles have happened. Also, things have happened that I can only explain as blessings (more than luck). There was a girl at church that prayed for a specific amount so she could get things she needed, and she and her husband got almost exactly that amount from their wedding gifts. We prayed my brother's car would turn up after it was stolen and I found it all in one piece. Everyday there are accidents in different places where, when looking at the vehicles, it's a wonder that anyone could have survived and you have people walking away with just a scratch. It's because you can only die when it is really your time. I know someone who swallowed a bottle of pills and went to sleep. He threw it all up and it didn't kill him because he wasn't supposed to die yet! And don't go swallow a bunch a pills to prove I'm right or wrong because you never know when it is your time and it could be now or 50 years from now! Just like this Earth. They keep saying we have enough weapons to do this and that to the Earth. Do you honestly think, if there were no God, that people wouldn't have destroyed the Earth by now? The Earth still stands like this because it is not yet time for it to be destroyed. God has a plan for the Earth. Everything happens or doesn't happen for a reason. You can walk off and think this is balogna, but the Bible says every knee will bow. For those that do not repent and trust in Jesus for their salvation, there will be hell to pay. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. I believe the end is truly nigh, even at the door. Go and prepare yourselves. Jesus will return. This time, he won't be here to die again for your sins. He'll be here to punish everyone that hasn't accepted his offer of salvation.

My response to others:

And actually, there have been several movies and television programs that this question is related to. God created filmmakers, didn't he? I don't have a problem with this question being in the wrong category. When you search, you get to see all the questions. If you're going to be so upset because of what category it's in then why bother to read or answer it?

No, I have never seen the movie 'Do you believe in God, Why? Have you heard of polls and opinions? Why not?
No I do not believe in god. No, another quote from the bible or koran will not make me an instant life-long believer in any gods.
If the only point we are here is to reproduce, sjb sparkles, then should we all have 12 children and speed up the the world's overpopulation? When your source called 'the bible' was written, do you know what the Earth's population was then? The rate of infant mortality? Do you know when you write in all capital letters it doesn't make what you say any more valid?

I am not sure to be honest. I do believe something made us and put us on this Earth for a purpose.

However, believing in God... it's hard, considering how much sh** is going on in the world and how little he/she/it seems to care about it! I can understand the explanation of "this is a test" and "we're paying for Adam's sins" and all that bla bla bla, what I can't understand is why kids are born into the world to suffer. If we all come from the same man who sinned, and we all should be paying, why do some kids come to a privileged world, with loving parents, money, stability and security, and why are some others born in war places, with no water, no food, no family, no love, no respect...
If God exists, he is no God of love or mercy. I know he/she/it says a thousand years equal one day to him/her/it, but he/she/it should realise that for us, 60 years is a very long time, specially when you're born in conditions that are not human or acceptable.
If it exists, please do something, enough is enough.

No, I do not. I think "God" and any other higher power is just a ruse to keep us under control. If there wasn't a scientific explanation to something, we (mankind) would make up an answer for it. I.E. The Greeks with all of the gods for everything and anything. Dionysus, the god of Wine, Apollo, the god of music, prophecy, sickness, and medicine. These are examples of what an extent people will go to to explain the unexplained. All in all, God is an explanation for all things that we cannot grasp. The "higher power" is all in our heads, and the heads of the churches.

No I do not. However, I don't believe it to be wrong or ignorant to believe in God or a God. I think as a moral basis religion is phenomenal in helping people determine right from wrong. However, from a policy, education, scientific standpoint, there should be separation. Problems arise when religion tries to mix with science. See evolution/stem cells etc.

Yes. Can you seriuosly believe that something as complex as a living body with sight, hearing, taste, male and female, etc possibly developed on its own. Then the world around you, ask the same question about it all.

Yes, i do. I believe because he has changed my life so much. and for those people that say prayer doesn't work, u have no idea. I have had so many prayers answered. not to mention science can not begin to explain how earth came to be. scientists can try all they want, but there are just too many flaws in the theory of evolution. the only explaination is creation. mostly i believe because of how much he has done in my life. u will never understand until u invite him to be a part of ur life.

Yes. The creation of the earth and the aimals is most commpelling. There is an order to the movement of stars moon sun tides seasons. There is no evidence of random selection but the animal world is so perfectly designed it must have a creator.
The fact that He loves me takes faith but the evidence of sunsets and oceans are indisputable.

I believe in God for several reasons; one, I believe that because of several medical situations I have been in, I wouldn't be alive if not for Him. Also, look sometime at something as big as a mountain range, a starry sky, and something as small as a baby's fingernail. Seems to me, great art on that grand a scale couldn't be accomplished randomly.

I believe that there is a higher power that moves everything. I think it would be silly to think we are the top of everything in the universe. If we are, we are screwing it up pretty badly.
