needs cleaned. It will just all-of-a-sudden jump to the other side of the screen. Also, the page will jump to the bottom like I hit the "end" key. Sometimes it only goes about half way like I hit the "Page Down" key. Please advise.

No cords are loose. No settings on the mouse in control panel are wrong.

must say this feels like a broken mouse: u sure this is happening only when u are on the web?
sorry to break the news to you but don't waste more time to troubleshoot: it's cheaper to just buy a mouse.

I've had this happen to me too. I finally discovered the mouse cord had become unplugged. Check the mouse cord going to your hard drive and make sure it is plugged in properly. Unplug the mouse cord, plug it back in, reboot your computer and everything should be fine.
Also, check your keyboard cord - once in a while they also can give you problems if it is not plugged in properly. Follow the same steps, as the mouse cord, and everything should be fine.

Go into your control panel, click on mouse. See if your mouse settings have been changed at all.

Do you have a laptop with a touch keypad? Someone told me those go bad fast. Mine does that too. I had to use a plug in mouse. That one never does this.
