I've heard some people get pregnant as soon as they stop the depo shots, and I've heard of some that have had to go to a fertility doctor because of how the depo shot screwed their body up.

Have you taken a bone density check? With depo, it really screws up your bone health.

My husband and I have been married for 29 years. Our children are 27, 25, 22, and 9. Our 9 year old was a complete surprise, conceived when I had been on the Pill for 11 years. I was 38 and my husband was 39 when she was born. I was considered high risk because of my age and I developed Gestational Diabetes. We did not plan to have another child, but now none of us can imagine our family without her. Your age should not be a problem. Several people we know have had their first children when they were 40 and everything went just fine. If both you and your husband would like a baby and your 13 year old is all for it, I say go ahead and try for a baby.

I think you would be ok. I'm glad your child is ok with it. As a second set child (3rd husband, over 10 years between me and my brothers) I can tell you that the biggest thing is family relationships. As long as your 13yr old stays an active part of the child's life, they'll have a good relationship. At 35 you still have time to pop out 2 children if you start soon. My sister and I have meant alot to my mom, even if we were accidental and born when she was older. It takes more energy out of you the older you get, but hopefully the maturity and extra income will balance things out for you. As long as all 3 of you desire the child, I say go for it. And you'll have a built-in babysitter. Yipee!

35 isn't too previous to have a splash one. definite, the hazards start to flow up yet i be attentive to a brilliant form of momma's that grew to become mom's any age from 15 - 40 and the only one i be attentive to who had a baby with any variety of illness (spina bifida) became 19 whilst she had her son. A 37 12 months previous buddy of mine basically popped out a healthful infant boy in 7 minutes in the previous due fall after a house start and the grasping little beautiful guy is 6 months previous and weighs as much as a 20 month previous and not fat, basically enormous and healthful. the only individual i be attentive to who went into menopause of their 30's became because of the fact she had cervical maximum cancers and the chemo delivered on it. it may take longer to conceive yet till your physician is worried, you shouldn't be the two.

I have several friends who've easily conceived in their early and mid 40s. If you want another one, go for it! Just be sure to take your prenatal vitamins for three months before trying to concieve, and avoid alcohol, drugs, smoking, and caffiene. Especially important when you are older.

I got pregnant in just ONE try and I am 38 years old (husband is 44). The Depo sometimes makes it harder to concieve, but if so, your doctor may be able to give you something.

Also, you will probably want to do amnio once you do get pregnant to rule out any problems.

My aunt had her 2nd child when she was 36. She has done wonderfully. It's cool to me becuase I have a son and a cousin who are the same age and they love each other dearly.

I say go for it!
