it will fly through a dvd+r burning but when i try to use a dvd-r to burn to it says insert another disc and try again along with other suggestions, i dont get it as i have burned on a dvd-r before but it was a different brand of disc - now im stuck with a big box of maxell dvd-r's and cant do nothing with them - help please????

Some DVD+-R burners are picky about brands. I would try to return the box of Maxells or sell them on eBay or to a friend and go back to the brand that worked.

You must be useing nero.I had same problem.Download www.ripit4me.com In there is a download selection of dvddecrypter and dvdshrink.Download them both then you can set it up to run and burn without nero and use any type disc.There are a ways to do it,email once you download ripit and ill help you get it set up.Its all free.
