I would hug you if I could simply for the fact that you think of your sister in law for her birthday. I have the meanest in-laws on the planet...Think about how she decorates her home and work from there. There are alot of cool things you can buy to make someone's home a little more special...

Try gift certificates to nice stores or to a beauty parlor. That way she'll be able to choose what she wants. Don't get certificates to cruddy/cheap stores - only the nice ones that have more expensive stuff. They make better gifts.

Yankee Candles are always good. Or a Visa gift card, even though it seems cheesy, at least she can't biatch at you for not getting something she wants.

a gift certificate to a spa, a gift basket (fruits/ chocolates,etc..) a blown up picture of her family in a nice frame (not to big)
