Who has determined that Chavez's action is best for his country ? Whatever action any government official takes can't be judged good or bad at the time. History will tell us whether Chavez was good for his country.
The same goes for Bush. It seems that you have already judged both Chavez and Bush.
Stick around for thirty or fourty years, there may be a few surprises for you.

Chavez acts in the best interest of his nation AS HE SEES IT. Bush acts in the best interest of his nation AS HE SEES IT. I do not see the point in your question other than to obfuscate the simpe fact that you are an apologist for dictators, like the leftist apologists for Stalin, Lenin, Mao, Castro, and others before you. Get a new playbook.

You are a very simple person to believe that this clownish loudmouth bully is actually acting in his country's best interest. We live in America where people are free to do and become anything that they wish. What do you want from the govt? Free stuff. The president's job is to protect the United States that is all. You must be a lunatic if you think it is the govt's job to give you stuff. What exactly did Chavez do for his country oh wise one?

No man is an island. What one leader does in a country may affect the whole world, remember adolph hitler.

Also many people in Venezuela believe he is not "acting in his country's best interest" with nationalizing (really a governmental form of theft) businesses and ranches.

I hope he does not wreck a beautiful country.

President Bush is a front for the PNAC and president of the United states. He's tied by big business interest and think tanks.
Chavez brings a hopeful new left policy alternative to the world stage by what he's doing in Venezuela.
They are like apples and oranges,no comparison possible.

And pray tell just how isn't the president looking out for our best interest? He has done the largest increase in socialized spending, and have dedicated more towards education that the last president. This president doesn't feel the need to blow his own horn, he does something better. He acts on his convictions.
