There are several suggested things to naturally bring on labor. However, I had 4 babies all born past their due dates. I was between 40-42 weeks with each one. None of the suggestions I tried brought on labor. Personally, I don't think there is anything reliable to naturally induce labor. But, most of them don't hurt to try. Try walking. Have sex, there is something in sperm that supposedly helps prepare for labor. Nipple stimulation is also supposedly worth trying. Other suggestions are eating spicy food, eating pineapple, and driving down bumpy roads. My grandma swore by scrubbing the kitchen floor on her hands and knees. I tried all these things with no luck. Stay away from taking castor oil, it is sometimes suggested, but everything I have read or heard say it is bad for you. I heard some doctors will try it in the hospital but it is not a good thing to try on your own, you run a risk of dehydration since it causes diarrhea.

Drink a few glasses of red wine, have sex, scrub your floors on your hands and knees, walk. All these will help induce your labor. Also the red wine will not hurt the baby.

Walk a lot. Do squats, pelvic rolls, mop your floors on hands and knees (these help move the baby into position). Sex. And stimulating your nipples, either by hand or with a breast pump an hour a couple times a day.

Take castor oil. I took it with both of my kids and went into labor the night I took it with both of them and it doesnt harm the baby. My sister in law also took it and went into labor. If you dont know what it is its a stool softener and you can pick it up at walmart. It almost made me vomit because its oil, but it does work. Good Luck!!

Let it play out honey. Get all the rest you can now. You have just about a week left to go before the doctors would consider induction... so just relax and breathe! It will go by fast!
