Nothing happened, except maybe more people died. The increase in troop levels did nothing, which is clearly evidenced by the fact that we pulled out a loser.

The insurgency stepped up their levels in kind and more. This ended up resulting in no strategical benefit, just more casualties.

The more we screw around in the middle east, the more our nations actions are recruiting for the insurgency and uniting the enemy.

What do you call a person who mentions the Vietnam War to a bunch of people who don't begin to know what really happened or how and what do you get?

they only increase there numbers and the USA still lost
