Since she is already on an antibiotic she can't get "sicker" BUT if what your 2 year old has is a virus she could get that in addition to what she already has & unfortunately the antibiotic won't help with that AT ALL. The virus will just have to run it's course. Sounds like you're not having much fun at your house. Sorry! and Good Luck!

Sounds like your older child has a virus, which can't be treated with antibiotics.

Make sure the older child washes her hands a lot and try as best you can to keep her from kissing and hugging all over the baby to avoid spreading germs. (Wash YOUR hands a lot too since you'll be caring for both of them!)

Your older child has a virus it sounds like, and antibiotics dont do diddly for viruses.

Viruses can cause infections which are treatable with antibiotics, but the virus itself isnt.

As long as your baby is on antibiotics she should be fine. Keep a watch on her I know RSV is bad.
