It was working fine then last night it simply stopped working. No ignition, no blowing, nothing. Just does not do anything. And I'm cold! Also I can't find a reset button anywhere. Any suggestions?

Need more information to help you.

Is is supposed to have a pilot light? Many newer furnaces have an electronic ignition instead of a pilot light.

If is supposed to have a pilot light, is that light on? If it is not supposed to, you will either see a red glow for a minute or two when the furnace is supposed to start, or you will hear "snapping" like an electrical arc. The red glow is a part that heats up to ignite the gas. They fail fairly often. If there is electricity to the furnace, that is the first thing that I would suspect.

Did you first check the breaker or fuse box to make sure it has power? Did you also check to make sure the thermostat didn't get reset to a very low temperature, or get turned off?

If you have a "fan" switch on the thermostat, turn it to "on" instead of "automatic." The fan should come on immediately. If it does not, the furnace is probably not getting any electricity.

The fan normally comes on when the air inside the furnace has been heated to a high temperature by the burners. It does NOT come on when the burners start so you cannot determine if the electral is okay just based on the "automatic" fan setting.

if you smell gas get out!!!!! first check your circuit breaker box to determine weather you got power, next check pilot light. If pilot light is burning it should be electrical. Is it electric start?does it click
another thing real important some thermostats are batteries operated or it could be a bad thermostat.... reset button could be inside take the filter cover off and look maybe there is a diagnostic chart on the inside of the filter cover

Make sure the gas is still on in your home. Next, the pilot light could have gone out. If it has an electrical start see if you can find it. If not I would be carefule as the furnace may pump gas out when it goes on, thus never lighting and filling youre home up with flamable gas.

It could be hat the thermcouple wires have corroded/burnt away. Boilers have a thermocouple, some wires that sit in the flame of the pilot light and check that it is still lit (hot). If it is not hot/lit, then the gas is cut off, for safety. Obviously, it needs a repair-man to fix it, if it is that.

Check your pilot light. If you are comfortable re-lighting try that. If it goes out again then you will need to replace the theromocoupling. It is a 10.00 fix at home depot - this will work on all models except for Whirlpool. If you have a Whirlpool you will have to replace the water heater.

If the fan isn't working either, you may want to check your fuse box and ensure it's getting electricity. Then call your local heating/air conditioning repair man to fix it/sell you a new one!

you probably need to replace the thermocouple. that is the part that lights the pilot light. if it goes out, then you won;t have automatic lighting.. and it will blow out constantly when it is lit..
they don't cost too much and they are easy to replace.
