and you see the tiny graves?

Of course! I would think you have to be pretty heartless not to feel anything when you see the tiny little graves. Even without looking at the dates, you can only imagine how briefly they lived and what pain their loss must have caused! Call me morbid but I'll stop sometimes and actually walk through cemetaries, reading the inscriptions on the monuments and such. Some of the ones for infants are really heartbreaking.

I don't like modern antiseptic cemetaries where the "rules" say all the headstones have to look the same, It's worse than tract housing. I like old cemetaries where the families of the deceased had some freedom to choose their monuments and could choose something that refected the deceased's personality or the feelings of the survivors.

Especially the real old grave sites. Some families would lose two or three little ones, hard life to bear.

Yes, but it doesn't cause fear. It's more like curiosity--what type of person were they, what kind of lifestyle did they live, what were their experiences in life, and what caused them to die? Were they famous, rich, homeless, poor, what were their contributions to society? Does their families miss them, did they have families? So, yes there's a little tug but it's out of respect for the unknown and their families and for what ever contributions they made to society.

Yes, especially since I've had children of my own. I try not to go through the cemetary, for that reason. God bless.
