I think, firstly, that your terminology of 'putting women in their place' is a little off putting. But in general, I believe in calling people on their behavior...men or women. If someone complains alot, I have no problem letting them know that I have no interest in their attitude.

Women let men think they put them in their place in fact the reverse is true. Thats why women live longer than men, they never stop and they never give up..

I've actually heard lots of men say, "If my woman is complaining, it means she's not happy... and if my woman ain't happy, it means her man ain't doin' his job."
Please understand that>>> complaining is the woman's way of telling her man that the needs she has (what she needs from him), aren't being fulfilled by him.
When she complains, look past the complaint and understand the reason why she's complaining.
When a baby cries, we understand that it cries because of a need it has... so, we do our best to meet those needs.
They don't usually have to cry in order to get their needs met, if we're attentive enough about their needs.
In other words>>> if partners are attentive enough to one another's needs, then there's no reason to complain (gripe, cry, fight, etc).

I think that anyone who feels that they need to put anyone else "in their place" is, in fact, suffering from very low self-esteem.
What we should want for each other is just the very best.
When you feel good about yourself, you want others around you to feel positive as well.
When you feel bad about yourself, you're always looking for ways to make yourself feel superior to others, hence the "in your place" dynamic.
It's a no win.
It's hurtful to all.
Isn't it time to start feeling better?
