You probably have a virus, go into safe mode and see if it keeps freezing, if not run or install an antivirus program and see if you can clean it out that way.

Not much to go on from your question, but did it ever work before you installed anything. Did you assemble the computer or buy it already assembled and supposedly ready to go? If so, and it worked before, and if you have System Restore try that first and see if you can restore to a point when it was working. What did you install, hardware or software?

If you updated your RAM and have 2 different ram cards in the slots, that will cause this problem. Remove the smaller one, and the problem goes away. If not, you might have a virus. You can reformat your hard drive and reload your operating system. Record all your favorite sites first, though, as that information disappears.

Did it freeze up when you first got it out of the box????
If it did not, then it's somehting you loaded or downloaded. If it froze up from day 1 as a virgin, then Call their tech support and tell them you plan to take or mail the computer back to them unless they solve your problem.

I'm not very good with computers but your best bet would be to take your computer to a local technical/computer shop and they will be able to solve your problem.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

FIRST OF ALL IT IS A USED COMPUTER AND SHOULD BE ALL CLEANED OUT. I WOULD CALL THE COMPANY BACK AND LET THEM KNOW OF YOUR PROBLEM, ASK THEM TO REPLACE THE UNIT. IF THEY DON'T:
GO TO YOUR START BUTTON, CLICK ON ALL PROGRAMS, THEN ACCESSORIES, THEN CLICK ON, YOU SHOULD THEN SEE SYTEM TOOLS........GO TO DISK CLEAN UP AND PRESS THAT........ANOTHER SCREEN WILL POP UP WHEN IT IS FINISHED, CLICK OK OR YES. THEN YOU WILL NEED TO GO BACK TO THE SYSTEM TOOLS AND CLICK ON DEFRAGMENT AND WHEN THAT COMES UP, CLICK START DEFRAGMENTATION. THIS SHOULD CLEAN UP THE COMPUTER FOR YOU.
GOOD LUCK!

You may have too many things installed for your proccesor to handle. Also, you may need more RAM (around 512Mb is good).
