its ok you got lot of software free adds from all the kind answerers. But how do you remove ? Do as follows.

1. turn off the system restore for all the drives first (this you will do by opening system in control panel)
2.scan the individual disks and be patient while doing so.
3.defragement all the drives
4.keep the windows xp cd in the cd rom and operate system file checker. All the dll files and errors in files of windows get corrected with this.
5.Now operate antivirus, anti trojan, anti spyware, anti malware, etc.
6. Then reboot the system .

check out if the windows is wonderful or not. If ok create a restore point. Else digout for reasons . Tune xp1.5 is a best freeware to do all these operations.

There are many free antivirus/antispyware programs that you can download on the Internet, but an antispyware program would probably your best bet. I would suggest either downloading a free trial of ZoneAlarm (http://tinyurl.com/zko8w) or using SpywareBot (www.spywarebot.com). The ZoneAlarm trial will convert to the basic version after it runs out, so you will still have a good firewall to protect you from future attacks, too.

Also, once you do run any antispyware program, after the malware is deleted, make sure to run the utility CCleaner (www.ccleaner.com). Run its built-in Registry Integrity program to remove any remaining pieces of the program that got left over.

Good luck!

The only effective way of fixing problems like this is formatting your hard drive and reinstalling windows. Any good bookstore will sell books on how to do that. You will need your operating system disk. It should have come with the computer when you bought it.

Understand that when I say "only effective way", I mean it. Occassionally, you get lucky and a program is effective in getting rid of something specific. However, that's rare. Usually, nothing works and the system gets slower and slower and has more and more errors until it just crashes.
