I would have to say that as long as your Yoga mat is in tasteful colors (avoid hot pink) you're fine.

I guess it depends on the cemeterys rules. But I bet they would not approve. Even if you are allowed legally, what about what is right? What I mean is, there will be other people there, during the year, burying their loved ones, their dead, and mourning the loss, etc. They will look over and see you sun bathing, listening to music, drinking a soda, etc. Do you see a problem here? While there is nothing inherently wrong with doing those things, its a choice that could bring some winces or pain to others during a time like that, or perhaps simple confusion. I know the plots are expensive, but I am not sure you would want to have a picnic out there. Take a book, or some correspondence, something less obvious, so others think you are just visiting a grave. You could even take a blanket for that!

It depends on the provisions of the cemetery's contract. If u own a plot then u also have a copy of their contract about their rules and regulations take the time to read it then answer ur own question, I have read mine and in the cemetery I bought my plot in I'm limited to using it solely for when I die though they and I keep it very tidy everytime I go to the cemetery.

its only today's day and age that make cemetery's for the dead only. back in the old times it was a family gathering place, for things like pic-nics and get togethers and the dead just happened to be there too. in ancient greece, they even made these HUGE "vases" called kraters that had a hole in the bottom so that they could pour wine in them and the wine would go into the ground so the dead could drink too!!
i say its your land, you use it how you want. i know many of the cemetarys around here are big on the dog walkers, so just watch out where you're doing your yoga!

You're an interesting individual. I think you paid for a place to rest, the cemetary isn't a place of recreation, people are buried there, people mourn there. You should go to the beach and sun bathe, get a gym membership for strecting and yoga, heck, if you own or rent property you could do all that at home.

most of the 'yes' answers are so off base.
1. Its not truley your plot..u have a limited use license to bury something there...doesnt have to be human.
2. Also, its illegal in most areas..and in some countries automatically results in death.
3. Its sick and most people who see this would likley injure u severly.

Try hanging out in a park instead.
You probably could do those things in a cemetery but its just strange.

I read if we disrespect spirits of a graveyard, they will haunt
us. Once I called into a graveyard and said "Wake up!"
I truned around and for just a second I saw the shape of a man, that was dark but purple too. I assume the purple showed it was
a spirit that helped wandering souls find their way.
But I wouldn't take it lightly.
Who knows, the spirits might like a little of remembering the Life!

You're kidding right? IMO, that is kind of sick. How could you relax and do yoga or sunbathe amidst a whole bunch of dead people. Good luck with that. To answer your question, I do not think it is accecptable,

I don't mind, you should be able to enjoy it while you are still alive, the people visiting the other plots might be a little up set it!

i really do not know about that. it would be kind of considered insensitive to the cemetary and people buried there. It is just respect that i may think u will have a problem with.
