My friend is 34 weeks and the doc just took her off her pills( to stop labor) She went into labor at 31 weeks!! I had this done too but I can not remember for anything how long it took me to go into labor afterwards. They told her that she is fine now and if he does come early then he will be ok too. ( he measured 4 lbs. 6 oz. at 31 weeks, so hes pretty big now) she has had steroids numerous times to mature his lungs also. She has to have c-section ( if that helps) please just give good answers no smart A** please Thank You so much

i also had pre term labor. I will be taken off my pills 3 weeks before my due date. Hopefully she will be born on her due date. If not the baby is mature enough to be born now. As for your friend just tell her to relax the baby is out of danger now the only thing is waiting. She might not even go into labor until her due date. Just tell her to sit back and wait.

Well technically speaking the baby could come anywhere between now and full term which is 40 weeks. My friend was on those pills to stop labor from coming on and her labor didnt happen for a while after stopping the meds. I think each person is different. Especially depending on life situations. Stress has alot to do with things. If shes stressed, labor could come quick. If shes relaxing, not doing too much strenuous activity, she could go the remainder.

It just depends on when the baby wants to come after she stopped the pills. He may have wanted to at 31 weeks but decided he wants to stay in there a while, you never know!! I hope all goes well!

She will go into labor when the baby is ready to come out. He wanted to make his appearance earlier, but it was too early. She will go into labor if and when the baby decides he wants to come out. Just relax. Good Luck!!

i went into preterm at 32 weeks, I got steroid shots and pills to go home with. Once I hit 34wks I took the pills as needed. I delivered naturally at 36wks and my little girl was fine 5.01 18"

She could go at anytime. Sounds like it will be fine. She will just need to wait and see what happens.
