I asked a question "does anyone else have holiday let down?" I mentioned how I spent alot of time with my daughter but now miss here. I got a violation notice for content?? What for? Is there actually someone out there with nothing better to do that report someone for asking if anyone else is feeling the let down thing after all the christmas stuff is over? Gee what is with some people? And again I will ask with risk of being reported, "does any feel kinda let down after all the gift giving and stuff is over with?" Sure hope I have't offended anyone , gee

I have no idea,I got several of those in the past few times I put a question on here too. I got one for saying "may I tell everyone a merry christmas and a prosperous new year and thank all who answered my questions on yahoo" I did NOT say that to offend anyone either, but apparently someone either reported it or someone who monitors the questions felt I did something wrong, but it seems kinda funny that the ones who put nasty comments or questions on here can do as they please and NOT have their questions pulled or given a violation. So I hope you are ok and that they didn't upset you too much. Merry Christmas late and Happy Prosperous New Year to you and all who read this.

Ronin might be right that someone complained you were "chatting", but you weren't the only one asking that question and I don't know why anyone would complain about it.

I'm glad it's over! Now I can rest! Although I tried to enjoy the holidays and the days leading up to them, there was still just too much going on and I got stressed out too. But of course, everyone has high expectations for Christmas and for a lot of us, no matter how hard we try, the reality falls short and that can be disappointing and if it's any help, you weren't alone and in fact your feelings are probably normal.

Maybe stealing ornaments off people's lawns, robbing old ladies, and just being disorderly in public wasn't enough, I think a lot of mean people out there got loose on this site and wreaked havoc with the Abuse buttons.

I got a violation too, for advising someone with manic depression how to face a family x-mas gathering and make it fun. Apparently 'other participants' who, for the most part, ranted and raved on and on about their own mental deficiancies to this individual (like it could possible help her situation) didn't like my posting and flagged me. I don't know. All I know is that Yahoo is investigating violations now with possible conclusions of dropping and deleting people's Yahoo IDs all together. A bit extreme I should say.

It's a sad sad nation when people don't like your opinions and you get Yahoo email down your throat for it like a national security issue. Whatever happened to freedom of speech? Their software here addresses foul language already. Why get so uptight? There are certainly far greater violations going on here at this site that are not being flagged and investigated. So if regular folks like you and me are to be lynched for minor offenses, to whatever possibility we have offended some sorry sack, then cleary some of the more hateful and immature people who frequent this site should be burned at the stake. It's rediculous, and I find this 'violations' enigma with few reasonable limits on abuse offensive for all those who contribute well to this site.

To answer your question now, I usually feel down right after Christmas. The gifts are given and the celebration is suddenly over, people leave, the house is a wreck, and I commonly feel like, "Okay, what now!?" But this year I am glad it's over quickly enough. I had a rough time gearing up for the holidays to begin with. Too busy working and no time early shopping or prepping for guests and dinner. My kitchen was a nightmare, anything that could go wrong in it did, and I wore myself out flat. But all was a success ultimately, smoothed over with some fine food, spirits (the liquid kind, not Ark Angels), and good company. Now things are quiet and peaceful, all the guests are gone, the house is clean again finally, and I have some good food and drink left over to enjoy myself in sweet vacant sanctuary.

I think the blues is pretty common for people holiday endings. Especially when we miss the ones we love who leave, or couldn't be with at all. We spend so much time preparing for the event, and then it's over before we know it and are not prepared for that. You just got to remember before hand that it does end the day after, and make peace with that before it happens.

Hope you feel better soon, and maybe the new year will bring good tidings for you to get cheery about as well.
Peace!

It's normal to feel kind of let down after a big family holiday. The family that you haven't seen in years is going home. The happiness that you haven't felt since childhood is starting to disappear. The only thing we can do is keep on keeping on. Good luck. And just think Christmas is only 363 days away.

OMG! They did the same to me 3 times~! Then I got a email from yahoo that they might terminate my account. All I asked was "WHat do you want for Christmas". I was so mad. Some people just go around reporting people for no reason.

^_^

With loose speech comes responsibility. regardless of what some those who visit solutions imagine, there are community regulations to maintain on with at the same time as posting right here. I see posts right here each day that i hit upon offensive - and it takes alot to offend me. The very last sentence of your placed up is laced with "attitude", which i think is alot of the reason you have become diverse violations.

It doesn't mean someone was offended. Don't forget there is also a marker for "Chatting". Maybe that's why u got reported?

I am not offended. But the babysitters here seem to respond to any and every complaint. I save it for ignoramuses and hatemongers who put out libelous material.

Happy New Year.

Probably because it was not really a question to get knowledge. It was more like "chatting".
