Currently there are third party developers like Sandisk that manufactures memory stick duo. As long as it is a Memory Stick Duo or Pro Duo it will work on your psp. Although i would advise you to purchase with extreme caution as there are now fake memory sticks that are out now that is so tempting to purchase because of the price. These fake cards mostly have half the capacity of the original ones. Regular memory sticks wether it be Sony or any manufacter brand wont work on a psp. So make sure it is a MEMORY STICK DUO or PRO DUO (faster version) and that it has a one year warrantly from where you bought it (preferably trusted dealers) It doesnt matter who makes it as long as it is in that format.

No, you don't have to use Sony, but I would be wary of using other sticks because they might have problems with the PSP. That said, I would recommend using SanDisk because SanDisk and Sony collaborated when they were developing the memory stick, so the Sandisk memory sticks are just the same as the Sony stick, but at a much cheaper price. SanDisk shouldn't have any problems with the PSP.

you desire a custom firmware to play iso video games off a reminiscence stick. Im uncertain regardless of in case you're able to enhance or downgrade yet you're able to go searching. Youtube has video clips that have steps. It additionally relies upon what psp you have because of the fact the recent lite psp desires a pandora's battery which will properly be offered off ebay.
