The screens you talk of are Liquid crystal display or LCD.. to remove any marks use a warm 'damp' not wet!! cloth and some fairy liquid.. the screens have a plastic cover on them.. The only thing you must be careful of is NOT to apply too much pressure or you will break the crystal beneath.. hope that helps..

"DO NOT" use anything like Nail Polish Remover, WD40, or Alcohol. Take a small amount of "Lighter Fluid" on a soft tissue and have another "Damp" soft cloth with plain water. Gently wipe the fluid on the ink and follow up with the cloth. Be sure the laptop is powered off. Make sure the tissue and cloth are not dripping and just as a safety precaution cover the keypad with plastic.
Do Not press hard on the screen just moved the tissue gently over the ink to dissolve it and then wipe it off. "Take Your Time" and "Be Gentle". Work on small sections of ink not the whole screen. After all the ink is gone then clean the screen with a soft cloth
