It wasn't the most exciting and I've known there's no Santa Claus
for too many years. But I loved it because my husband of 40 years and I celebrated alone by the fireplace and ate the foods we love the most without having to stick to tradition. We hugged each other and our 4 dogs all day and it was the most relaxed Christmas I ever had. No big gifts because we get what we want as we go along and when you get older your house and jewelry boxes are over-stuffed anyway. Yes, we had a beautiful Christmas. Thanks. Hope you did too. @@8=))

No. My dad started a fight as we were sitting down for Christmas dinner and continued as we opened our gifts. Then my older brother came over and complained about his ex-wife and my little brother. My older sister is trying to get on my good side after all these years, she wants me to go on vacation with her- I don't think so because the last time I was at her place we were suppose to go out for supper and dancing, but instead she called my little brother's wife and talked to him the rest of the night and I got left overs. My other sister didn't show up. My little brother is in LA. With a dysfunctional family there is no merry Christmas.

Yes...I did. I stopped celebrating Christmas a number of years ago, and still refuse to have a tree. It is a family time for me, and that is how I try to celebrate this time.

In some respects, yes, but.... my soon to be sister-in-law literally had a mental breakdown on Christmas day. She targeted a lot of it at me. She gave me ceramic mixing bowls for the holiday, and then took them out of the box and threw them at me (hitting the floor, not me luckily) but they shattered. She called me the "c"-word and just went on and on. She sent me an apology text message. A text isn't quite enough in this situation. But on the other hand, our time with my family was very nice, and my celebration at home with my fiance was romantic and fun. Hope yours was WAY better than mine!

It was merry for 5 mins when I first awoke.
But sure enough the family were tearing each others heads off the only difference was it was to an Abba Gold soundtrack this year!

It was nice to see my 3 boys enjoy Christmas. However, for me, I just wasn't feeling the Christmas Spirit this year. It's a shame really.

Mine was all right. I got a surprise phone call on Christmas Eve from a friend who I haven't seen since 1988. We had a lot to catch up on.

♥ Thanks for asking! I hope you did too! I had a very nice Christmas. It was nice spending time with my family that I never really get to see that much. All the presents were nice too
