Buy the pram you want while it's on sale.

Your friend is being foolish. The only "bad luck" here is listening to her and wasting your money.

HI HUN, this was the same situation i was in a was told i was flying in the face of God by my partners family but i went and bought my pram anyway and left it over at my parents house and it never gave me bad lucK.Also some stores will allow you to leave the pram there if you have no where else to put it till baby is born. You'd be mad to let it go at a sale price to as prams are expensive.GOOD LUCK AND GET SHOPPING!

It's an old superstition that my Mum often told me but that didn't stop me from getting little bits early. It is totally up to you and if it's the pram you want then go for it - especially as its in the sale. If you are concerned about keeping the pram at home, maybe you could ask someone else to store it for you?

Good luck with your pregnancy.

Your friend probably means well, but it is just a superstition about having things for the baby in the house before the baby is born. A baby needs many things and if you can get them on sale, I say buy them when the price is right. If it makes you uncomfortable, see if your mom or maybe your friend will keep the pram at their house until later. However, I wouldn't worry about it.

I've heard this superstitution as well but you've got to think about is logically. Are you a generally superstitious person? Do you follow other superstitions? If not don't let this silly person get into your head. I bought my first baby's pram in the sale whilst I was pregnant. I left it in the box but the principle is the same! Try not to worry.

Hi you can buy a pram whenever you want to. I bought things for my baby from about 20 weeks after I had my second scan. Some people wait as they think it is unlucky but I dont believe in superstition.

Its fun buying things for your new arrival enjoy yourself

Your life will flourish by sensible forward planning and keeping yourself stress free as far as possible ...... silly superstition can prevent you from doing all of this so go ahead, buy your pram now and let it help you to look forward to your new arrival and how you plan to have super times together!

And forget all about bad luck ... it simply wil not happen!

Of course, not, sweetie--and congratulations! In case you haven't already noticed, when you're pregnant, everyone wants to share their superstitions--like if you do this or that, your baby will be so and so--or their childbirth horror stories. Just smile and listen to what your *doctor* says! (If it will make your friend feel better, maybe your mother can keep the pram at her house.)
