Only time heals a heart that aches. Try to stay busy. That seems to help take your mind off of things for at least a little while.
I'm sorry you are hurting.

An old elephant like me never forgets.
It is a pain to even try to stop missing that someone.

You will always have feelings for ever. But to stop means to forget. It depends on when you want to stop missing. That is something one has to want to do. To forget means erasing someone completely out of your mind and that would be hard to stop doing.

I wish with all my heart I could answer that for you. I'm missing someone so much right now I think I'm making myself physically ill. It's just something we have to go through.

Having that someone very close to you always, might be a picture, an item, anything that brings back those memories with you all the time. That will make you feel secured.
When you want to erase someone from your memory... well, that's another story.

Oh man, that's a tough one. I can't do it really well, myself. I still think about someone I loved, who died 20 years ago - you know the 'I can't wait till I can tell Rodger' or 'Rodger's gonna love this' and then remember he's gone. It gets easier with time. I only do this once or twice a week now, when it happened, it was a dozen times a day.

You can't stop the feeling, but you can learn ignoring it or dealing with it at least for a while. If that doesn't work, you can find a different interest or another person to feel the void in your life.

I don't think you ever stop...sometimes you are merely distracted by every day life and it takes your thoughts off the person you miss...but given time, you always think about them eventually. I love this question by the way :)

i think that we never stop missing someone that we have lost. and time doesn't heal, it just makes the hand we are dealt more bearable.
