I have an Explorer (Eddie Bauer is what I assume you have) that had the same problem. In the end I had to have the car's computer replaced. I would NOT have the dealer do this. I would take it to a mechanic that can find you a used Ford SUV computer so that you can save $$$. The dealer will charge you over $1000.

confident, yet i'm uncertain i think it. I I also have a Ford with a DTE gas indicator too; the accuracy of the analyzing varies based upon how the motor vehicle is parked (on a hill, etc) and for each style of random reasons too. it quite is a useful instruction manual i think, yet do no longer have confidence in it too heavily. We ran out as quickly as while it develop into nonetheless exhibiting we had 18kms left (yeah i understand we enable it run down too low).

Disconnect the negative battery cable for at least five minutes and reconnect it. Do this with the ignition and all accessories OFF. NO promises, but many times this will clear an electronic glitch. Anyway it doesn't cost anything to try it.
