- Taking responsibility for my success (and failures) in life
- Finding inner motivation instead of depending on other people to motivate me
- Getting a quality education from a state school
- Setting realistic, obtainable goals for myself, and taking things one step at a time while still considering the big picture
- Choosing a great first job and knowing when to move on to bigger and better things
- Taking the good advice people give me
- Realizing that you're always growing and learning, you will never know "everything"
- Nobody is perfect, but it doesn't hurt to aim for perfection
