Okay, two questions before I answer yours?
1) are you a male asking ?
2) are you a female suspecting your b-friend has cheated?
In my experience, men like to 'brag' about their sexual conquests and endeavours. If that's not happening, chances are, he's feeling 'guilty about having sex' say with someone he shouldn't be or because he knows he's been cheating.
He worries about whether or not his partner will find out, so he 'side-tracks' and talks about anything 'but' sex with them. He will also strive to do 'extra favours' where he normally wouldn't.
Either way, should he have had, or perhaps should he not have had sex, talk to him. Ask him and explain why you suspect it. Being honest with your feelings about his sexual activity may bring out the honesty and explanations you seek. BUT, be prepared to hear what he has to say - it may not be what you want to hear, but you will at least have the answer.
