I've had two miscarriages (one in January and one in September) in 2006. When would be the best time for me and my husband to try again, without the risk of losing a 3rd baby? Or should we just adopt? Please only serious answers.

You should wait at least six months before trying to conceive again to allow your body time to heal and regulate your menstrual cycles. You also need to allow enough time for your emotions to settle and heal. Losing a child (in utero or otherwise) can be a very tramatic experience for both your family and your body. Unless you are over 40 or have extenuating health issues do not give up yet. Make sure and discuss with your OB/GYN all the things that may be contributing to your previous miscarriages. My mother had three miscarriages before getting pregnant (and giving birth to) my little brother. I hope God with bless you with a child of your own and I wish you the best of luck in whaterever you deciede to do.

I am so sorry I myself had 2 miscarriages I tried again right away even after the second one, but I was emotionally ready and now I have 2 baby girls, when you feel you can be pregnant without constantly worrying bout another mc then try again next time you will carry your child and it will be healthy........good luck

When I had my miscarriage, my doctor said to wait until you have atleast 2 periods before you try again.

I miscarried at home and did not have a D&C. If you have a D & C I think you are supposed to wait longer (6 months I think), but I would suggest in that case, calling your OBGYN and checking the timing with them.

If it was a natural miscarriage you should wait one cycle to be able to date the next pregnancy more accurately. If it was a D&C you need to wait at least three cycles for the uterine lining to build up.
