I think some people are made uncomfortable by the idea that they are unconsciously revealing their feelings to other people, so they try to dismiss the importance of body language. But it's actually very revealing.

Most people are under this strong fearful belief that WE are NOT Animals.

There is complete denile in the most natural things, even body language.

As it stands though,.. I see PLENTY of Body Language being taught lately. Not explained,.. just threatened. It's part of Rap and Gang junk --.--; It's VERY bad socially outside playing Teenage Modern Day Gangsters. It's being absorbed into the Culture as normal expressions and responces.

You have to deteach this out of your reactions when you leave an area where every human practices this. Other wise you never make eye contact and only approach or talk to people when your challangeing them. Since many people I have been talking to online were the result of Teenage Parents or can't remember life before the days Rap was considered the Domenante Pop Music, people are completely unaware they are doing it or that it is in poor behavior.

And NO,.. it's not really something your Born with. It's something you learn in your enviornment. If it wasn't for humans being so controling oh their behavior, we would react to things as normal to other social animals. For example: Smileing or Showing off your teeth is a Negative reaction to other Animals. It indicates agression or fear. For anyone who wonders why 2,000 year old artwork doesn't have people with big toothy smiles, it probably wasn't populer amoungst humans then,.. it only seems to be a popular practice in recent Centuries.

So Humans are just REALLY Stupid about these things,.. or Ignorant,.. *rolls eyes* It might do you some good to do some traveling and take the time to sit back and take notes on different behaviors in places so close at 25 miles apart and as far as other countries. But who can really afford that.

Body language is taught in psychology and psychiatry courses. If you're asking why people generally don't go about talking about body language.........I think most people have no clue what it is or how to interpret it beyond the obvious. Clenched teeth, furrowed brows, glaring eyes. We aren't all that familiar with the more subtle types of signals we put out there.

As I'm typing, I'm thinking criminologists would be taught these things as well.

Thats racist thats is why. Its a way of generalizing and acting up on the generalization. Its better to teach racism and treat these as facts - White people are good in aggression but lacks the brains for original concepts and ideas, Mangolians are good in working like machines and making precise stuff such as electronics, Indians from India are very good in original concepts and pure philosaphical stuff, but good for nothing in all other fields, Blacks are good in music and dance and sports and below average in everything else etc.

because body language is for the most part an unconscious decision, so teaching something we don't even know we do is kind of hard.
