Just about every thing else. Oil.. more appropriately, petroleum is used is everything and every manufactoring process. Plastics... make from petroleum.. so.. find something with out plastic in/on it. Any thing made by machine or with a machine will have some amount of lubrication in/on the machine and again.. this is from petroleum.

Home heating in the northern states is done mostly with Fuel Oil. Many power generation plants across the nation have Natural Gas fired generators. (Natural Gas - Petroleum)

Auto tend to come to mind for several reasons. First, there so dang many of them. Secondly is that Gasoline is 'refined product' from oil. That is so say that we take oil and 'refine it' to extract the Gasoline from it and therefore a barrel of oil (42gals) only makes about 22gals for gas. Below is a break down of how a typica barrel of oil is refined:

Finished Motor Gasoline 51.4%
Distillate Fuel Oil 15.3%
Jet Fuel 12.6%
Still Gas 5.4%
Marketable Coke 5.0%
Residual Fuel Oil 3.3%
Liquefied Refinery Gas 2.8%
Asphalt and Road Oil 1.9%
Other Refined Products 1.5%
Lubricants 0.9%

Understand that this refining process actually creates about 48gals of product but this is due to the 'addititives' used in the refining process. Also these numbers can vary greatly between the quality of the oil being refined.

So.. how do we cut our dependence. First.. stop waste every where. From driving fuel effient vehicles and less driving to the simple reduction of household waste.. all will help to reduce. However, the world is dependent upon oil and this isn't going to change in the near future. TO reduce our depedence upon Foreign oil.. we must expand our domestic production.

Hope this answers the question!

While automobiles are not the only thing that needs oil, they account for the largest share of oil consumption; airplanes and power generation stations also have significant shares in oil consumption. Finally, there are industries that use oil to make rubber and plastics...
