We don't have to let it happen if more young people rebelled against PC and if English celebrated St George's Day etc. Also parents could teach there children proper non Marxist history this could be the start of a counter revolution but we have to start it ourselves our explain to the next generation why they don't have a national identity which is there birth right.

I think our identity is changing. No longer is it cool to be a Christian person in the USA. This country was founded on Christian principals...with God going every step of the way. Now we have to be so politically correct, socially correct, culturally sensitive that we are not allowed to be red-blooded, God fearing Americans. I still am and will always be...but it is not fashionable and people get uncomfortable about the notion. I am all for cultural identity and uniqueness, don't get me wrong. The US is a giant melting pot where we can all be free to remember our heritage and celebrate our unique identities. But, we are all Americans by common bond. And I say, God Bless America.

You know what? I somewhat do feel like we as Americans are losing our identity! There are so many people from other countries here until now when I look at a person of a different nationality, I can't tell where they came from or if they were even born here. I feel that sometime in the future we will just all be foot soldiers just marching to the beat of whatever is told to us. It's no longer going to matter who's from where, how they got here and America is eventually going to lose it's name, status and possibly the American Flag! We might as well just go to Home Depot in the paint department and splash every single American flag every color available. Because the Red, White and Blue to me isn't us anymore!

There are countries that blocked themselves from any other cultures and what are they now?
Isolated.
Well, i think this is the price you Brits pay for the sovereignty in the past, ruling every corner of the world and bringing the multi-culturalism rubbish home.
Now you are trying to recycle the rubbish but turns out not to be so easy and worse, you now realised you are not collecting much.
Unfortunately, yes to your question!

Tricky really. I would like to think we're all equal, global village etc. but there's still a jingoistic part of me which would like the UK to have old fashioned purpose and identity. Multi-culturalism is not necessarily worse, it is certainly different, and I think there is sadness that the "old" UK values are lost, which I think they are to a great extent. There's several reference sources of relevance e.g. "Patriots - National Identity in Britain 1940-2000" by Richard Weight, "The English: A Portrait of a People" by Jeremy Paxman.

Absolutely!!! We had this conversation here a few days ago, this country is becoming ridiculous, i am not racist at all, but we now have to consider the multi culture in this country, and different religious beliefs etc. You have to be very careful, or you are branded a racist. Some have said, they feel like the foreigner now, when visiting certain cities in this country. It is getting out of hand.

Like Australia - multi-culturalism created your identity (by the way, 10pts for the spelling)! Apart from the indigenous people of the Americas your precedents were refugees. Be worth asking wot your great/grandparents language was.......

Yes, the last 10 years have all but destroyed the cultural identity of Britain.

Unparalled levels of immigration, of people who are not assimiliated into our culture, but who create pockets of their own.

And Govt policy has supported this. Niall Ferguson did a very good analysis of the 20th century wars, they were RACE based.

We will have civil war in Britain, give it 50 years or so.

being laid-decrease back and having a love for beer isn't a custom; however i've got faith that immigration may be detrimental. Their could be some regulations that decrease overpopulation. i think of it somewhat is any other way around although. maximum people who immigrate to different international places attempt to conform to their new surrounding extremely than forget approximately approximately it. I see many different races who do no longer even understand their very own language and gown with out hint of their custom to slot in. If absolutely everyone is going to a distinctive united states of america they could attempt to earnings that international places customs and not substitute it. elementary as that. as an occasion, learn French in case you plan on living in France.
