I think referring to half of the Chelsea fans glory supporters is a little harsh. Yes I agree there are an awful lot of Chelsea 'supporters' who don't even know the manager or first goalkeeper but there are also Man U glory supporters. I have been a Chelsea supporter every since i was 3 and you can only call yourself a supporter if you know about the clubs players, management, history, and go to the matches. Fair enough some people can't afford tickets i mean what is it now? £40-£50 for a ticket! When back in 1990 it was 20 quid! I also agree with your view on Glory Supporters they can do a lot better than Chelsea I mean Arsenal are better than us if you look at the history!! I think Glory Supports should all be shot quite honestly I mean what is the point of them?

hate chelsea because of the manager
jose is so arrogant and has NO respect for another teams at all
if he doesn't win the EPL trophy i think he can only blame himself
the whole entire chelsea team has became more & more arrogant with him.
players like drogba, ashley cole & gang keep boasting shamelessly about themselves *pukes*
it's all about the over-confidence jose mourinho put into the team & the fans
but i yeah i agree with you that usually whichever team keep winning, people hate that whichever team the most.
i remember times when people hate man'utd because they keep winning & now.... chelsea.
there's always some side effects thinking that the most powerful team is so irritatingly good people get jealous
yeah jealous and that's why hate
but i've also got to say man utd is a team with the most passion beside arsenal.
they have a squad that have a solid base & experience and everyone want to respect sir alex ferguson rather than jose
everyone wanted to respect ryan giggs, paul scholes, gary neville
realize chelsea don't even have any senior players that's respectable by all
so generally i prefer man utd
hate chelsea

A difficult one to call here Slinky, because Man Utd are the traditional target for loathing in this country, a fact based on jealousy about success both on and off the pitch. Chelsea however, apart from a couple of decades when their support put fear into the hearts of everybody, as a team, have generally been thought of as a favourite Aunty by non supporters Inconsistancy with abit of "flash" will do that for a clubs profile.
However, all change in the Premiership, who as an organisation have been more than derelict in their duty to look after our national sport at its elite level. Two key things have happened with the way these two clubs are owned.
Man Utd the worlds richest and financially best run club were allowed to be bought using in effect their own money' by a man with not even the slightest interest in them or even football. His interest came of the odd situation that the worlds most celebrated nation of capitalists actually has rules that proclude the owners of their sporting institutions from making too much money from the sport no matter how successful they are. The Premeirship 'he noticed' does not prevent financial rape nor indeed insist that people wanting to buy clubs have any knowledge of, or history within football; nor even enough money of their own to do so.
Chelseas situation is similar only in that the Premiership showed the same disregard for protecting them from an innappropriate purchaser. Anyone who believes that in what is currently a "Wild West" scenario in the former Soviet Union, that a 36 year old can become an oil baron billionaire without being in effect a mafiosi is a dreamer.
Chelsea was a money laundering project, which strangely I think turned into a love affair, or more likely an infactuation. The fact that the Russian authorities flexed thair muscles and crushed one of the few "Oil Barons" higher up the food chain than Mr A resulted in a pragmatic decision to sell his assets back to the Russian government recently, releasing even greater funds for the "Special One" to lavish on players for the sole reason of preventing anyone else getting them.
So to the question, who do I hate the most? Well hate is a strong word to relate to a game of ball, probably best to keep hate for people who kill your family or steel your lover.
I'm a life long Arsenal fan, as much thin as there has been thick over the years, and once upon a time I would have hated Man Utd more because they were the perenial bride whilst we were always trying to catch the bouquet, however other corrorpondents have made the point that old corned-beef face has done an outstanding job over the years, and he has. His teams have nearly always played attractive football and there has been a substantial English and British development of talent along the way. The current team are flying, and though I think Chelsea will do it in the end, I find myself admiring them if not wholeheartedly supporting them.
Chelsea, as another London club (I've never understood the notion of local rivalry over having a dig at those from ooop north!) I want to wish well, they're not the most fluid or interesting team to watch, more like Arsenal under George Graham than Arsene Wenger, but their manager adds the necessary colour that the team lack. It's the ownership that I can't stand. The January transfer window will open soon and the dodgy millions will be flashed again, meanwhile Chelsea are operating at an unbelievable trading loss. Any other business in this postion would be considered to be trading illegally.
Why hasn't Mr A just cleared the financial decks at Chelsea, put them straight and left the management to get on with running business? Why keep adding to their wage bill without putting them in a position to pay it on their own? If I have any advice for anyone - Chelsea fans.... enjoy while there is a Chelsea FC, like all rich men he will get bored, too long without Champions League, too many Premierships on the bounce who knows, but when he goes, as surely he will, it'll make Leeds Utd troubles look like nothing, it'll have more in common with the Barings Bank collapse!
So which owner do I hate most? An opportunist yank who has single handedly put the worlds biggest club into the worlds biggest debt, or a gangster who wanted a Premiership title to hold his bathroom door open, and so bought one... then another for the bog?
Answer - Spurs of course!

Definitely Chelsea. As an Arsenal supporter Man utd have been our main rivals for many years and I always hated losing against them, but you've gotta admire what Ferguson does there. Ferguson has always had his heart in that team and has done things to better the club, even kicking out fan favourites when they start to upset the morale of the team
Their fans are also not too bad actually
Chelsea fans,as you rightly described, seems to think that football started 3 years ago when Mourinho and the money arrived, and kindly forget all the previous years of being a mid table team. Chelsea have no heart, no soul, you can see that in the half heartedness they fill their stadium, their team is 90% a bunch of mercenaries, playing merely because they're being paid.

I am a soccer fan and would like to see all the teams doing well so the competition can be enjoyable.
But the team I may say I hate is Barcelona because I like Chelsea and they always give Chelsea headache so what I like about that is the fact that Barca is a bigger club than Chelsea but they compare themselves to Chelsea. I just say ooh Chelsea is getting there.
Thanx!

I find it so frustrating that all the ManU Chelsea haters are ManU fans because that's who was winning when they starting following the game. then they have to nerve to call Chelsea people band-wagoners, and act like ManU doesn't have any money at all. That argument will work with a Blackburn fan or something but come on. Yes there are new Chelsea fans, but most of us have been struggling with this club for a long time. There even used to be a phrase that the 3 certainties in life are death, taxes, and Chelsea will disappoint you. So i am not going to then start disliking the team I've followed all my life, because a few lame Manchester fans think its their birthright to always win everything

Your memory does not seem too good either!
Yes, you've always taken alot of thugs, sorry, supporters to away games.
You forget, that during periods of the seventies, your home crowd fell to 12,000.
How many of the real Chelsea fans have been driven away by the prices? People tell me that the club no longer has any soul.
Glory hunters now go to games. I don't even think that the ground is always filled to capacity, is it?
