Get rid of Stretch Marks?

2016-05-24 03:41:36 · answer #2 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

Coming from someone who has stretchies (as I like to call them) I haven't really found a cure. Unless you want to do laser surgery which isn't natural and doesn't guarantee anything. It only "minimizes the appearance". There is a lotion that I have purchased called Strivectin-SD and they claim their product will take away stetch marks. I've yet to find out. My only other advice is to go to babies r us and get some stretch mark cream. Who knows if it will help, but they sell some Roc stuff for about $15. Good luck.

Avon SUPER SHAPE Anti-Cellulite & Stretch Mark Cream. This stuff reall works. Apply is twice a day after each shower and you will see the differance in about 2 weeks!

Hope this helps!

I don't think they can be permanetly removed but they can fade to a barely noticable silvery colour. Bio oil is very very good at reducing them - also good for scar removal and other skin blemishes - it costs about £8 in chemist / Boots.
However, on saying this, Ive just read an article in Now Magazine by Michelle McManus who has lost over 13st and said that she was covered in stretch marks but lots have gone completely - she puts this down to her new diet / detox full of fresh veg and fruit - she is convinced it is the power of the Vitamins.
Silicia is a supplement that can be taken to improve skin - its texture / elasticity etc - may be useful.

Yes. The only permanent way to get rid of stretch marks is through surgery (tummy tuck, laser treatment, body lift, etc).

No you have to prevent them, Bio Oil is very good. However, once they are there they are not easy to shift. Surgery would be very costly but if you can afford it get a consultation.

I think they do laser correction on them now that makes them way smaller, but I don't think it totally removes them. I have heard of people using scar cream on them to help them fade in color. But I think you are pretty much stuck with them.

You can do some research and find some products that will make them appear more faint/less distinct, but I know of nothing that will get rid of them completely. Sorry.

Here's a link of some alternatives and their effectiveness.

i would think skin blasting, chemical peel, or tummy tuck if they are there, just get the surgeon to cut off the loose skin with them on there!

There is nothing to eliminate them completely. I have consulted numerous plastic surgians. They can only lighten them. Sorry.
