Hi my 11 year old nephew got one for xmas inside the box it said he gets 1 month free Gold membership but there is no code to input? Also he began a game with someone else online but he cannot hear them or talk to them, would this be because of his age? also I thought there would be hundreds of games he could just join in with for free but some have numbers such as 150 at the side of them - if he presses them will this come out of my bank account? as I have set it up with my credit card? Any help would be appreciated, I'm no good with boys toys!

Okay this is really simple I had this problem to there is no code for the one month free membership it is included with all systems it is redeemed when you activate your xbox live silver account and with the games he needs to buy something called market place point everything in the community cost money you buy these cards with a specified amount of points on them the point translate into dollars so when you see those numbers on the side of them that is how many points they will cost dint worry those cards do not cost a whole lot. And with the xbox live communicator he simply has to go to a lobby and everyone who has a mic will be right there with a little microphone next to their name

Usually the number beside the game room shows how many points you need to play that game. The system automatically gives you one month when you register your Xbox360 on line.
If you registered him as an 11 year old, which is a really good idea, then he would not be allowed, or be restricted to, any games that have an ESRB rating that's higher than 11 years old. After his one month is up then you'll need to buy more points and it can be done automatically since they have your card number. There is a page on the site that explains all of your concerns and fees involved. You can go there on your PC at the Xbox360 Live site.
