The older I get the more I know what I am looking for in different things in my life. I'm not afraid to let others know what's on my mind. I used to be so shy and timid and that was when I was not happy because people were walking all over me. Age has definitely helped me become more secure with myself and when you feel good about yourself then you can be happy. I think you have to be happy with yourself before you can be and feel truly happy about anything else.

Yes, I am much happier now than I was 5 or 10 or 20 years ago. I am in control of my emotions and my life as opposed to when I was a child when my parents controled what I ate what I wore where we lived etc.

I have learned not to yearn for happiness and I have also become more immature than I was 5 or 10 yrs ago. I have become a a husband, a fatherless adult and produced my own offspring during the last 5 yrs. I have also become a kind of man who desire for only 8 points when 10 points can be acquired. The reason for this is also known to me - happiness has nothing to do with points; whether it is 3 points, 8 points or whole 10 points. Its futile to aspire for happiness in that way, its better to desire for 8 points when you can acquire 10 points - this make the life easier in the optimal way.

Yes ,I am maturity has played a big part in my life and seeing and dealing with everyday things in my life differently. I was a person who had to be in control of every area of my life, now its okay that I'm not in control, meaning that I had to be in charge of things, and people as well. I was frustrated very easily, disappointed alot and discouraged too , especially when it didn't turn out like I wanted it too. Nowadays, its all good, not having the pressure on me to make decisions for everybody else all the time, and allowing others to grow into their ownselves.I am satisfied at this point in my life with the control issues.(smile).

Yes...I would have to say I am. But in the same answer, when I look back at my past, there are things I would like to go back and do, or spend more time pursuing. Also, with the severe downhill tumble the US society is on, I think I would much rather be the me of 10 years ago, so I wouldn't have to worry about such things as money, and such.

Happier or not it's all depend on what you experience in the process of being more mature. You can be sad cuz you experience tragic moments, and you can be happy cuz you have happy moments. Maturity had helped you to be more patient, and see things in a different perspective. Maturity makes you more understanding and wiser.

I'm much happier. Before I was a bachelor with a job I hated and no kids. Now I'm married with a house,a son and one on the way and a job that I'm satisfied with making decent money.

Yes, having children makes you grow up fast. Sometimes quicker than you want to, but having matured made the relationship with my parents better than what it was when I was a teen. Now I see that they wanted the best for me and I wish that I had listened to them.

Having a child has helped me mature (fast) and being more mature has definitely changed my attitude towards life. I am no longer the sulky teen I once was.

Yes, there were good times and bad times during my lifetime. I would not want to go back to any particular time. I am very happy with my life now at age 65.
