I believe I have a virus or perhaps a trojan horse that has pretty much frozen up my computer. It looks as if some unwanted programs have been installed onto my computer and now when it starts up, the antivirus freezes along with everything else upon loading and then the computer restarts itself over and over. I have tried to perform a system restore and even a system recovery to no avail. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

You could try booting into safe mode using F8 key while the machine starts. Once in safe mode use your anti-virus program to scan and clean the machine.

On another machine, try to get a rescue disk from an anti-virus program (some of the older versions start from DOS).

well my dad works for time Warner cable but i just figured this out myself see whenever i turn on my computer it makes a loud noise but like a few weeks later it just kinda stopped i don't know how but it stopped making noise so just wait for a while and see if it stops and if u figured it out good for u!
