And how about that "sleeper" hit ? The album that is special to you - for whatever reason - that may not exactly be mainstream, well known or very successful.

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen. Brilliant vocals, lyrics, and a haunting and riveting sound that lasts long after the album has stopped playing. It's just music, nothing more, nothing less. He recorded the whole thing in his kitchen on basic equipment, which speaks for both the man's talent and the appeal of music. Mightent by the greatest album, but it's got to be one of the best ever made. The repeated lyrics might hold it back a bit though.

My favourite all time album is Hotel California by the Eagles (really hard fought over Pink Floyd - Echoes).

The album that is special to me is Vow Wow Live. Not a well known group in the UK but they were a really talented group of Japanese musicians and reminds me so much of my 80's gigging days and how I wanted my band to sound (which we never did!!!)

While it might not be on the top of my list for best ever, one album that I can listen to over and over that I really did not see coming is "The Final Cut" by Pink Floyd. You will pretty much never hear any of the songs on the radio and I never would have picked it up if I wasn't a Floyd fanatic in college, but I am glad I came across it. Highly recommended.

Pink Floyd, but a specific album is tough as they have gone through some phases,

Personally Saucerful of secrets.

but for the audacious simplicity and complexity of it, the anguished lyrics, The Wall.

Shine on you crazy diamond.

'I'm really totally together, I even think I should be' Syd Barrett.

It's a toss between Pink Floyd's Dark Side of The Moon, and Cream's Wheels of Fire.

My favourite album is ABC's How To Be A Millionaire (1985). It's observant, sly and packed with great songs.
