I was at the pet store the other day and saw an "I love you" fish. It looked like a chubby, all white gold fish but it had the words "I <3 U" on the side of it, like it was painted on! I can't find anything about it on the internet, what's the deal with this fish?

don't get these fish.. and tell you friends not to get these fish.

the pet store that have these fish are really irresponsible.
These are albino parrot cichlid fish. The "i love you" is actually dyed onto the fish.. It's a pretty gruesome process. The fish is first taken out of the water and anesthetize. Then dye is injected under their scales.. Most fish will die sooner or later from the dye eating up their skin/flesh. Some might survive but the dye eventually just go away.

boycott the pet store if you can and tell them that you won't shop there because they carry this fish.

It's the only way to stop this process.

its a parrot fish.
They are agressive fish and are not good in community tanks. Also, its kinda tattooed on the fish and is not a goodprocess for the fish at all. Dont buy one.
