I would do the research. There are quality schools where you can get your degree online, then there are ones which are suspicious. I would definitely make sure the college is accredited, and check to see if they even have a campus! I would try and get a degree from a school (say Auburn) online, than University of Phoenix. If you did a long-distance degree program from a school like Auburn, you get the same degree...it doesn't mention on the degree whether or not you were there on campus. Hope this helps.

That's a good question. I'm a recruiter and I come across this on a daily basis. An on-line degree is usually considered just as valid as a degree that would be obtained by attending classes on campus. In fact it's difficult, if not impossible, to tell if a degree was received through correspondence courses, on-line or in the traditional manner if the degree is obtained through an accredited school.

Beware of schools that are not accredited or are accredited through a scam accreditation bureau. Take a look at this link. It has a list of schools to stay away from.

Just make sure it is accredited, there are 2 main accredidations bit I forget their exact names right now. Online degrees are better than no degrees at all so you will win in a head to head tiebreaker. Against someone from a better school, they would win the tiebreaker.

Go to an accredited university with an online program; as long as it is accredited there is no different that going to class.

The only way to receive a legit degree is to actually go to class and earn it...
