Originally, IQ, or Intelligence Quotient, was used to detect persons of lower intelligence, and to detect children of lower intelligence in order to place them in special education programs.

Bush's "mistakes" as some would call them (including myself) are not due to his lack of intelligence but from his values and opinions which differ greatly from many people's, like yours I assume.
But in my opinion, IQ isn't always a fair measure of true intelligence or what it would take to run a country anyway. And people who are considered smart are still capable of doing some pretty idiotic things.
I don't agree with bush and I don't think he has done the smart thing or the right thing in most of the decisions he has made but I don't doubt his IQ level; it's probably higher than mine.

According to estimates made by psychological researchers George Bush has an IQ lower than all previous presidents but one; Warren Harding. Clinton's was about 20 points higher.

Personally, I think that these researchers were far too generous in their estimates of Bush's IQ. My guess would be closer to 105.

Bush's IQ is higher than Kerry's and I'm sure it's a lot higher than yours.
Your point?

Bush was a "C" student and a cheerleader at Yale.... which his father helped him get in to. I mean his father was only the CIA director at the time and a Yale alum. There is no way he would have been accepted had his father been a janitor.

Resorting to childish attacks like these is no better than Rovian propaganda zombies spouting "libs r unamerican traiters", and you're not going to help change pro-Bush sentiment by acting like a pissy little kid in a sandbox. Grow up and debate on the facts, for your own sake.

Pro-Bushies: No offense, but throwing out numbers randomly without sources isn't very bright. At least some of you are trying by pointing out his acceptance to Harvard and Yale, but that tends to come off as snooty and arrogant. Calling into question Clinton's and Kerry's college records has no relevance to Bush's college record or his intelligence, and makes this seem like just another political pissing contest. Grow up.

Obviously Americans used his IQ to put him in the white house...hopefully we will soon use it to put him in jail for treasonist acts against our country and it's citizens!

By questioning the President's IQ, the intellectually challenged monuments to human stupidity in our society think they have removed the need for them to debate the man in the arena of ideas. I suggest that unless you have applied to either Harvard or Yale AND been accepted, you have no standing to judge his intelligence. He is a lot smarter than me and it appears I am far far more intelligent than you.

Here's a thought: Please sit down and get out your crayons and spend a little time to carefully try to come up with one original thought.
