I want to know if their is a possibilty of their existance. Also if our scientists have found worlds that may provide life for E.T. beings.

If there are an infinite number of stars, and if only some of them have planets, there are an infinite number of planets.

If there are an infinite number of planets, and only a tiny fraction of them have life (not necessarily human-like life!!!) then there are an infinite number of planets with life.

OK. So there aren't an infinite number of stars. Let's use real numbers; chance is one in ten million:

1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars
0.00001% have planets.
100000000000000 planets

100000000000000 planets
0.00001% have life.
10,000,000 have life

Even at very slim chances, there are still millions of planets with life...

Scientists have not yet found worlds that may provide life. Why not:

-1- how do you know that you are looking at the right stuff? Right now they can only guess. Educated guesses, but guesses nevertheless.
-2- the best chance for life as we know it, is on rocky planets like earth on a distance from its star like earth. This is very hard to detect from a huge distance. Scientists have problems detecting such planets on nearby stars, let alone stars on the far end of remote galaxies on the other side of the universe

In answer to the second part of your question--although astronomers have identified a number of planets orbiting other stars, they are all VERY large--none could support life (at least as we know it).

The European Space Agency is preparing to launch a new "planet-finder" orbiital telescope that will enable us to dectet more (and smalleer) planets--so we may learn a lot more in the near future. But so far, although everything we know indicates such planets should exist, we haven't had instruments capable of locating them so far.

But COULD alien life exist--intelligent civilizations, even? The answer is yes--but with some qualifications. It appearsllikely that the conditions for life--at least primitive life (bacteria) may be fairly common.

But while there is no reason in principle that evolution could not have produced intelligent life, there's no reason to assume it would--and even then, we don't know how common the conditions needed for that kind of advanced life are. Furthermore, even if we assume some intellligent civilizations have evolved, another question is WHEN--and how long do they last? Here's what I mean: suppose the average lifespan of a technological civilization is 1 million years (some would say that's overly optimistic)--and say that over the last billion years 1000 such civilizations have appeared in our galaxy. In which case, the probability is that we are (currently) alone in the galaxy! Or at most, there might be 1or 2 others.

That's the existing model--drastically shortened. Personally, I'm more optimistic, for a number of reasons. But even so, it's very unlikely we have any "nearby" neighbors, and it may be thousands of years before we contact another civilization--if ever.

Is it possible? Sure.

Have astronomers found planets that MAY provide life? Maybe, maybe not. The ones that we can find are either gas giants, or small rocky planets close in to stars. Neither provide a great place for life as we know it. But I suppose it's possible - life seems to be a pretty adaptable thing.

So far we've seen no verifiable evidence of other sentient species. That said, I believe with some certainty that somewhere in our galaxy at some past, present, or future time, a sentient species did/does/will exist.

Why haven't we heard from them?

Perhaps they are not technologically advanced enough to be heard. They may be mastering stone knives right now, or experiencing their own Rennaisance.

Perhaps they are here right now. Any species sufficiently advanced to travel interstellar distances would be able to hide or masquerade with ease. That Boeing 737 that just flew by may be a surveillance craft.

Perhaps they are so far away they will never notice us and vice versa.

Perhaps they existed a million years ago and died out.

Perhaps they will exist a million years from now.

It is really impossible to know for sure.

The Drake Equation suggests that there is sentient life out there. The Fermi Paradox casts doubt. Play around with the calculation form at the second link and see what you think.

The probability of their being life elsewhere in the Universe is staggeringly high, even given the huge areas of uncertainty in the equations we use to work out the chances. You could run a search for the Drake equation.

The possibility then is very strong. However, interstellar distances make interaction difficult given that to the best of our knowledge the speed of light prevents easy travel between star systems.

Scientists have found worlds outside our solar system but only huge gas giants larger than Jupiter. There are not likely to harbour life though there may also be smaller rocky planets in most of those star systems, conceivably with environments similar to ours.

There may be up to 100,000,000,000 stars in our galaxy alone. There are more than 100,000,000,000 galaxies in the observable universe.

It would be pretty amazing if ours was the only inhabited planet, wouldnt it?

Yes, it is possible. At least we have not shown it to be impossible.

No, our scientists have not found worlds that may provide life for E.T. beings. Not yet anyway.

you mean those popular GRAY aliens ? that popular alien figure of big head and large black eyes, if you think about it, where did they get that image from? there's the roswell incident, in which they said they got some dead alien body and autosied it.

actually you better search about our ancient advance civilization which is at the same time known to be ruled by an extraterrestrial.

I do believe is their existence, and the infos about those UFO sighting to be fake are just cover-ups to hide the truth about their very existence. we are living in lies and deception, our media are controlled by those in powers, and no real truth will be open to the public, and without getting p[ampered by lots of criticims to make it sounds fake/HOAX.

It is in you, on what to believe or not. Don't limit yourself to the possibilities, be open to all informations. The truth, even if u turn it to whatever side, mixed with others, there's always a link which connects it to another information, weaving the real story.

Heh, good luck pal. If you think that any government agency is honestly going to give up any information on aliens any time soon you fooling yourself. However, in Roswell NewMexico there is a scientific museum that has several thousand newspaper articles, magazines, and pictures you could study.
