Go into your doctor today. They can do a quick test to determine if your water has broken. They just put a small strip of special paper in the liquid, and if it changes color, they know it is amniotic fluid and that your water has broken. If it doesn't change color, than it is just normal mucus. It can be dangerous if your water has broken because the risk of infection increases, especially if anything is inserted into the vagina, such as when you have sex or have an internal exam. If your water has broken, and you say it's been leaking for days, since you are already 37 weeks, they will likely induce. Good luck!

You have a slow leak of amniotic fluid. It's time to call your doctor, now! You would not do well with a dry birth, nor would your baby. The fluid you are slowly losing is what shields your child from many things, including bacteria. Your OBGYN needs to know what is going on...as soon as possible! You may end up being sent to the hospital to have your baby today.

No, it does not happen to everyone...Talk to your health care professional immediately. You would appear to be leaking amneotic fluid which usually means you are about to go into labor. If you are NOT going into labor, leaking fluid could potentially lead to an infection which could be dangerous for you and your baby. TODAY, RIGHT NOW, call your health care professional. They may want to see how far you are dialated, and if the "mucous plug" is intact.

Oh, if your water broke, you would know it. My water broke and it was like a facet was turned on. I would call your OB, it doesn't sound right to me. If it's clear, then it's not urine. Sometimes when I would cough or sneeze some urine would come out. I know it sounds gross, but that is what I encountered.

I never had this. Sounds like a slow leak of amniotic fluid.

Call your OBGYN and tell them. They will let you know over the phone whether it's ok or not.
