You are on a very good logical path here. Logically, if people have conflicting beliefs on what is true and what is not, then either:
A) Someone is right
-or-
B) Everyone is wrong
Each individual believes what they believe depending on what they have observed and experienced through life. Surely, being Hindu you have heard the fable of the blind men and the elephant?
Three blind men come upon an elephant. None being able to see reach out and touch it.
The first touches its leg and says "This is a tree...thick and firm"
The second touches its tail and says "No, it is a rope thin and whispy"
The third touches its trunk and jumps back saying "You fools, keep away this is indeed a cobra"
Though each man perceived it to be one thing, the TRUTH is that it was another thing all together.

These right/wrong situations are all based on a different set of facts.
Facts are at the base of what is right because with facts comes proof.
These different religions have different stories in explaining who their God/s is/are. Each story has their own facts so really no one is wrong...
Pro-lifers and Pro-choice is a different story. That's always going to be a debatable issue, the abortion thing.
Abortion has it's moral and legal wrongs (killing a life) to others they don't see it the same way. It's based on a person's opinion. An opinion is what's "right" to the person who has it but the same opinion can be wrong for other people and that's ok.

Yes, you make sense. I am sure most people have wondered that same thing. I don't think anyone can truly judge who is right and who is wrong. I think that's where people go wrong. You believe what you want to believe, just as everyone else should be able to. It's frustrating sometimes, but people should accept the fact that they don't really know who is right and everyone has different views on things.

It's all relevant to morals and egos.
We are no one to judge who is right and who is wrong. We are equal, and sorry to sound like a total Christian but in the end God will judge us all. Because not everyone can be right.
It has to do with morals in the sense of not killing or hurting other people in the like. It has to do with egos because some people believe that they're always right, and they're not because on Earth we're all equal.

I agree with most of what you are saying, if you had left out Pro-lifers and Pro-choice, I would have agreed with you 100%. No one has the right to judge another person, in the Bible it says, "Judge not , and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven." Luke 6:37

Of course you make sense. The part about all of it that is bad is the fact that we think that opinions in themselves can be right or wrong when they are unique to each person. There is no right or wrong when it comes to beliefs, but as humans, we think everyone has to join our party and we try to get other people to do or believe what we think they should, and all of it is futile and disrespectful of one another. Very frustrating!

You make perfect sense, and I've often wondered the same thing. I was raised Catholic, but that doesn't mean I'm close-minded when it comes to understanding others' beliefs. I stay open-minded and do not judge simply because others' beliefs are different from my own.

Kudos to you for posting this question.
I agree, I my own beleifs and keep them to myself, but i cant stand it when certain church groups shove it down my throat and tell me what I beleive is wrong. And all the wars over this crap.
More people have died in the name of christianity than I care to think about. When they forced my grandparents into residential schools, were they thinking "what would jesus do?" I dont hate them for it, but I wish theyed leave me alone.

I think the Mormons are pretty close to actual 'right'. Look at the great way they live, and their great families. No other religion comes close, from what I've seen. Maybe that's just because I think it should be about a tight family, and somebody else would see another "truth".

i understand what you are saying. sometimes what is right for me is not right for you. that is why we have the right to be individuals. there are some clear cut answers and those are the ones that are proven without a doubt the rest is merely beliefs. if i have a belief and i believe that it is right that does not necessarily mean that it is right for you it is just right for me. get it?
