Here's what I'm doing and maybe it can give you an idea. I'm 33 and single, and intend to spend my NYE here at home with myself but it will NOT be a quiet evening. I'm going to add a few more decorations to my place (my Xmas decorations and tree are still up), light candles and incense, have some snacks and alcohol at my disposal, have music playing in each bedroom as well as the living room, one TV will play some DVD movies, and the other will be on Times Square so I can watch the ball drop (amazingly, I haven't watched the ball drop on TV in years). I will also have one laptop showing a slideshow of various pics of family and friends, and the other will have a Happy New Year screensaver displayed. The whole point of going through all of this is to make my NYE at home with myself as alive and energetic as possible. I think when people think of spending their NYE at home they automatically think it has to be quiet and uneventful. Single people especially tend to think like this, even more so when they don't have a date or anyone to invite over. I intend to shake it up a bit for myself here at home. And the best part? I can drink to my heart's content and not have to worry about getting back home. I can just crash right there on the couch or stumble my way upstairs. I could very easily forego everything I just mentioned and just sit at home in front of the TV. But if I were inviting a date over or some friends, then I'd put forth an effort to liven up the decor and make it festive. So why not put forth that same effort for just myself? Hope this helps.

if ur single and under 35 go out to a night club don't stay home alone, if u r married and have kids at home celebrate with family and close friends, if u r married and no kids at home go on a cruise or go out together make it a romantic night for both of u's, if u r single and over 50 hang it up go to sleep u old geezer. But if u r between 35 and 50 and single live it up hit every bar in town u might get lucky by twelve and definitely shortly there after, no woman wants to go home alone once she's tipsy or drunk and thinks u r a hunk.

I dont like celebrating it,i'm getting a feeling of melancholy I generally discover myself crying on the bells, i assume Ive had alot of harsh years and lost human beings on the fringe of me, and that i think of yet another 3 hundred and sixty 5 days without them kinda element, so I even tend to easily have a quiet one, and consistent with risk a drink or 2 yet thats it for me!
