Yes, so annoying! Especially when they put them right on the glass part of picture frames, for instance. I have heard Goo Gone works well but I never remember to buy it. I soak it in warm soapy water if I can. The label usually floats to the surface after 10 minutes or so. The residue wipes right off. Otherwise I ruin both thumbnails trying to scrape it off and get the rest with rubbing alcohol.

There are lots of answers to this already, but they all seem to forget one important factor. It depends on the surface that the residue is on.

Some of the products suggested will melt some plastics. A razor blade can scratch many surfaces, including glass. I know that from painful experience.

I have not been at all happy with using alcohol for this purpose. It often doesn't work quickly enough. Goo gone is one of my favorites. I usually use a special chemical made for this purpose, but it comes in too large of a container for home use and it can be dangerous for a homeowner to use.

It depends on the surface and how big the residue spot is. For things like a bumper sticker on glass, I usually a different chemical than for a small price sticker on plastic.

I even have the suited answer! Get a cotton ball and positioned a sprint bit nail polish remover on it, then rub the sticky residue lighty. this is going to come precise off. PLUS it wont harm the colour of the telephone in any way! wish that helped!

Look for a product in the hardware store called GOOF OFF. This stuff takes stickers off real nice and also removes all the residue that may be left over from the sticker, try it!

If it's on a smooth surface like plastic or metal, then use W-D 40, and a cloth rag to wipe with. It will dissolve the gunk in seconds

I always use de-solv-it yes it has the spaces like that on the bottle. It comes in a spray bottle and it lemon scent. It works on a lot of things. I've even had my daughter leave gum in her pants that we missed it was so far down in the pocket and it even made it to the dryer. I sprayed that in the dryer and it cleaned up like water.
