Yeah I had one. they aren't cuddly and love to bite. they are extremely stupid as well. But, they are fun to feed and watch dig around in the dirt. very soft and fuzzy too. feed them beetles worms, whatever you can dig up they will eat.

You probably could keep one as a pet in a cage but they are biters (and they really hurt when they bite). They have a loud screech also. They have no eyes, you know. They go by their sense of feeling and hearing. I would think they would be a boring pet to keep. Get a mouse or a guineau pig. They have more personality.

I imagine you could. I just can't imagine why you would. They spend the vast majority of their lives underground so you couldn't enjoy them as much as most animals that people keep for pets.

Sounds mean to keep them as a pet. Especially if they are used to their natuaral surroundings!

probably but i wouldnt advise it. They are wild animals and could carry diseases.
