I have nothing to forgive the French for. As GWB's Iraq War has played out it has become more and more apparent that the French were correct in their opposition to his irresponsible adventure. They did not stand against America, they stood against the wreckless foreign policy of Bushco and the PNAC, both of which are themselves unamerican organizations..

I never had a problem with the french. They stood up for what they believed in and that was that. On the other hand, it was funny how americans were pouring French wine out into the street in protest as if it was going to hurt France. People must have believed that so much that they went out and bought MORE French wine just so they could pour it all out. Yeah.. that was smart... very smart.

Thereafter interesting things came out about French business interests in Iraq and French official involvement in the Oil for Food scandle.
It isn't that France disagreed, it is why and how they did it that offends me.

FRANCE:
Why do we hate you?
Maybe because foor decades now you and your elitist pig snobs have thumbed your noses at us and finally we got sick of it..
Maybe it's because your govt. did not allow our fighter/ bombers to fly over your country during the Libyan raid, costing the life of a pilot, who had to ground his damaged plane due to a much larger course needed to be taken..
Maybe it's because after all the sacrifice of 2 world wars where there are 26,255 Yankee dead from World War I buried in 4 cemeteries in France.
There are 30,426 American dead from World War II buried in 6 cemeteries in France.
These 56,681 brave American heroes died in their youth to liberate a country
Maybe it's because you have bolstered your working class by importing so many muslims that they rule your way of thinking..
French cynics like the prime minister, Dominique de Villepin, have spent the last two years scoffing at the Bush Doctrine: Why, everyone knows Islam and democracy are incompatible. If so, that's less a problem for Iraq or Afghanistan than for France and Belgium.
If Chirac isn't exactly Charles Martel, the rioters aren't doing a bad impression of the Muslim armies of 13 centuries ago: They're seizing their opportunities, testing their foe, probing his weak spots. If burning the 'burbs gets you more ''respect'' from Chirac, they'll burn 'em again, and again.
STOP giving AID and COMFORT to the ENEMY!! Your leaders are IRRESPONSIBLE!

Exactly what was this stand against America? I don't remember them entering armed conflict against us.
You mean for not having the same opinion about the non existent weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? What is there to forgive? Do you personally hate every person who disagrees with you? Are you really that petty?

I call them french fries and french toast again - so I guess things are back to normal - I just have my normal distain for the French because of there pompous attitude on things - but over the past year with the muslims in france burning their cars and workers/student riots last year it is easy to remember just how screwed up they are over there.
Good Luck!!!

Forgiven? Hell, I haven't forgiven them for (allegedly) aiming their nuclear missiles at both the USSR and the USA during the Cold War.
The list of French opposition to American foreign policy is considerable, including their opposition to American involvement in Vietnam -- and we got into 'nam to save their cheese-eating a**ses!!!
I also haven't forgiven them for that Piece of SH*T Renault that I once owned.

Nope -the French still owe us for our saving their butts in WWII and forgiving their huge war debt.
They're liars and scum (first to get really excited about rounding up the Jews).... and they're 'famous' french resistance wasn't significant compared to the Vichy...
So pretty much they can bite me, the f**kers... can't stand them... and want them to suffer a significant accident involving extreme pain and death.

I have not forgotten the French as I have not also forgotten that no weapons of massive destruction were found. Was not that the main excuse for the war?
