The Bible says we will be with Him in heaven, so long as we believe that we are sinful and that the price was paid once and for all by Christ's death on the cross and resurrection on the 3rd day. I am Christian and believe that the Bible speaks the truth. I know from the Bible, that when I die I will be awarded a place in heaven, at my Lord's right side. Those who do not believe, according to the Bible, will be banished to hell to live with the Devil and his angels. A religion teacher in high school explained it as a timeless wait. Judgment day will be when we die. We won't feel as if we will be waiting around for the end of time to get there. Therefore, WHEN we die, we will be with Him in heaven, just like he told the criminal hanging next to him on Good Friday. This leaves no room for pergatory. The Bible doesn't mention this halfway station, either.

Well, the question is where does your soul (if you believe you have one) go? The answer for your body is simple. Decomposition begins right away...ashes to ashes, dust to dust, as they say. So, back to the soul. This falls firmly upon your belief set or faith. No one can tell you what is right. You have to feel what is right for yourself. If you were raised Catholic and you have doubts as to what you've been taught, I encourage you to explore other theologic explanations. This doesn't make you a non-believer or a sinner. It makes you educated. In the end, you'll still have to decide for yourself because as living beings, we are not privy to the truth. It shall be revealed at the time of our own passing.

I believe that I will go to heaven for a time. The Bible says that there will be a judgement, one for those that believe and one for those that do not.
I will go to the one where the believer's are judged.
After that, and the world ends, I will be with God forever. I will live in a place that the Bible calls New Jerusalem.
God will be there with us.
So Purgatory is not in the mix for me, being a Prostestant or 'Reformed' to the beliefs of the Christians before the Roman Catholic Church existed.

If we have learned what we were supposed to learn here, we stand before God and he sends us on to the next higher reality. If we leave this life as nothing more than ignorant hairless killer apes our souls are voided. If there is a purgatory, we are already in it. I think hell is only for the fallen angels.
Sorry I don't think suicide bombers are going to fair so well.

I believe that it depends how you have lived your life if you have done good deeds or have lived your life in vain if your life has been lived in vain you go to hell but if your life has been full of good deeds you go to heaven to rest with the lord if you believe that you have lived your life in vain pray for forgiveness and hope that the lord will forgive you and try to make the rest of your life filled with good deeds like donate to the poor do some chairity work donate toys and other things to a orphanage or to good will. But if your going to donate to a chairity thing make sure you know what they do with the money because some chairitys collect the money and then only 15% goes to poor people and the rest goes to someone that gets rich off of peope donating to charity.Try The Salvation Army or something else.I'm not saying you have lived your life in vain I don't even know you but makesure your life is filled with good deeds and you won't have to worry where you go.

I believe when you die that's it. Everyone has their own beliefs and that is mine. I was born and baptised a Catholic still I don't believe everything that every religion has to say.
In the words of Tim McGraw-Live like you were dying.(I hate country music but that song is alright)

As for me, my will requests that I be cremated and that my ashes be sprinkled in a park somewhere.

I think that either you your existence sort of spreads out or you just stop existing and rot in the ground. I take an agnostic view on the afterlife although I do think there is one, just don't know what it is, but I'm secure with the fact that there might not be one.
