I am a diehard Atlanta Falcons fan and even though the Army has me living in Germany, I keep up with the Birds. They have disgusted me this year. I want Mora jobless at the end of the year and I want my team improved. What can they do, besides firing Mora and bringing Jimmy Johnson in to coach them?

Greg Knapp needs to follow Mora out the door.

I live in Atlanta, and I have to say that Vick is the most overrated QB in history. He's shown flashes of greatness, NOTHING near the hype that accompanies him. Without a doubt, he's the best *athlete* playing the position, but he's never struck me as being very smart, and you have to be smart to play QB.

The tide is turning against Vick here in Atlanta, and more and more fans are growing disenchanted with him. He's had 7 years to learn the league, and he's not improved from day 1. Vince Young steps into a horrible Titans team from last year, and has all but willed them to victory several times this season. Vick doesn't have that kind of leadership ability. I can name 10 QBs off the top of my head I'd rather see under center, running the 2-minute drill OTHER than Vick.

Unfortunately, the Falcons are stuck with him. They are married to that contract, and Atlanta isn't the same as NFL cities such as Green Bay or Cleveland. In cities like that, they'll show up to support their team, no matter what the weather is like and no matter what the team's record is. In Atlanta, if Vick were benched or traded, that's at LEAST 25,000 people who will find something else to do on Sunday afternoon. People will pay to watch Vick be awful, which I just don't understand.

In retrospect, trading away the rights to Brees and Tomlinson is looking pretty stupid.

Jimmy Johnson won't return to coaching, IMO. He got burned out, and as much as he strokes Vick on Fox every week, I don't think he wants the headache that coaching in the NFL brings. With an owner like Arthur Blank stalking the sidelines every game, tapping his coaches on their shoulders during the game and undermining their authority, very few coaches are going to want this job. I look for the Falcons to promote from within, or to hire a "no-name" coordinator to replace Mora.

Mora's biggest problem is that he has too much faith in Michael Vick. Defenses can stop him on the run now, and he was never a good passer. He needs to realize that he's nothing more than the second coming of Randall Cunningham. What the Falcons need is a solid quarterback who can pass the ball and is willing to run when necessary. The team has some wonderful backs and solid receivers. Use the entire team and the Falcons will start winning more games.

Wow ppl sum ppl are so dumb. Without Vick the falcons are simply a horrible team. The D-Line has been getting to many injuries and the wrs have been terrible. You guys want Matt Schaub, he 1-3 as a starter. Vick needs a new system along with sum new receivers. No offense to Warrick Dunn but he just hasnt been consistent since the first 5 weeks of the season. Norwood should be starting.

Alright jim mora will be fired and the only thing the falcons should have to do is get michael vick better targets that do not drop the ball as often if you do that the falcons will be a top five team next year with vick dunn crumpler lelie who is a good receiver who just need a chance they do that and they will win their d is set for years

Mora is obviously an idiot. I think Vick also needs to go. He is obviously a very talented athlete, but something is simply wrong here. I think a trade is the best possible move. It might actually help Vick also. This team seemed so close to acheiving greatness a few years ago, now it looks in complete disarray. Both Mora and Vick need to go as soon as possible.

Get Vick to sit in the pocket for more than 0.0654 of a second and THROW the ball, rather than run. And Alge Crumpler cant be thrown to every time. GET SOME GUYS THAT CAN CATCH.

The running quarterback is not a winning philosophy.
That will become apparent to Jeff Fisher and Vince Young very soon as well.
Vince Young is getting lucky with running. That can only last so long.

they should get some recievers, and i hate to even tell you this, but pull of a huge trade and get michael vick out of atlanta. now just bear with me. He is an explosive player, a great rusher and an okay quarterback. Now, what if the falcons could trade vick for a pocket passer and a great leader, use your imagination,( i would push for romo myself). also get some better D-linemen. not necessarily DE's but maybe a couple of tackles to plug up the holes. Maybe a middle linebacker too.

Keep Jim Mora, and get rid of Michael Vick.

I would trade Vick. The guy is exciting to watch at times, but he just seems like the type of player that will never win a championship. I liken him to Allen Iverson. They're both exciting, but for some reason you never get feeling that they are the long term answer.

they should trade vick to the raiders for picks and asoumough(i know i misspelled it). he's a cb. they need to work on keeping their defensive players healthy...whether that means hiring better medical staff or better conditioning...a good receiver either through the draft or free agency would help but i think their wr are fine if they got some time with schaub....lastly they need better scouting for the players they are drafting. trading duckett was a great move though.
