Would it be strange to use the same middle name that Avril Lavigne even if im not naming the baby after her?

2) Yes, it would be weird to give a kid the same two names as a star if you're not naming them after a star.

It's like Ave such as Avenue but with out the nue and then ril as in real....like real world.....

you can say it like the singer, or you can say it with and "a" and not "auh". But either way, if it reminds you of the singer, then it will remind other people. Its something you have to either come to terms wtih, or just not use that name.
